Please see below some frequently Asked Questions for CAMMS Solutions:
General:
Q: I have created email notifications correctly, though they have not been sent out for risks/actions that I have created prior to setting up this notification, how come?
A: Email notifications will only be sent out for risks/actions that have been created after the email notification has been created.

Q: One of the training laptops we’ve been using has Windows 10 on it, and we have noticed that it crashes periodically. Are there any known issues with Windows 10 or any of the other modules?
A: CAMMS are only compatible with Windows 8 - therefore, yes there may be some issues here because we have not officially tested any of our applications on Windows 10, hence cannot guarantee the compatibility here. This is part of our Requirements documentation for setup. Please ensure you are using Windows 8.
Q: The actual for my KPI in cammsstrategy is within the variance of the target, how come the traffic light in my reports and within my application is appearing amber?
A: For the traffic light to appear green for a KPI that KPI will need to reach its target completely, depending on the calculation method. For example if a KPIs calculation method is ‘More is better’ then the actual will need to reach or pass the target to receive a green light, if the actual doesn’t meet the target, but falls within the variance of the target, this KPI will receive an amber light.
Q: I need to add a new action however the 'add' button is not displaying?
A: You first must select a strategy before the 'add' button can appear. A Strategy is a mandatory requirement in order to add an action which will sit underneath that Strategy.
Q: Why is the person not showing in the drop down menu list of responsible person for actions?
A: It is because the username is not linked to your staff . You need to link your staff to your username to show in the drop down menu. This can be done under Framework> Staff. Please also check your Organisational link to confirm you are linked to the correct department.
Q: Why can’t a staff member see the dropdown to select between current and next period during rollover when others can?
A: It is because you need to give them Next Business Cycle security role in cammsstrategy to see that dropdown.
Q: Can everyone make changes to KPI if you are not the responsible or the reporting person of that KPI?
A: Yes by giving them Performance Manager access in Global Collaboration will allow full rights to the KPI section.
Q: In EIS all KPI's with a calculation method of Less is Better are showing green traffic lights, even though no actual results have been entered. We would not expect these to be green unless a result has been entered. If no result entered, we would expect no traffic light to show. Please clarify whether this is expected behaviour, and whether it can be changed.
A: When you are adding in Targets (saving the targets/actual tab), it will save a '0' automatically as an actual into the periods. Therefore performance will be calculated based on an actual of '0'. This is because the default is a '0' figure. We currently have on the road map a way to 'delete actuals' so that a '0' is not identified as an actual figure.
Q: Action Responsible Owners can't update Progress Targets - Operational Users
A: Action responsible officers cannot update the action targets as default. However there is a setting which allows operational users this power called "Action Permission Boost". This option allows operational users to create and edit actions in their own Department. Typically, this option is used to help speed up the Inherent entry of data, whilst still maintaining a degree of restricted access as stipulated by the application security settings.
Q: The completion date calendar popup on the 'My Quick Update' screen in IE9 is not working. It appears as greyed out and non editable.
A: You need to select the status as completed before the calendar pop up is activated.
